The Cumbrian Goodies Tea Shop has built it's reputation on good, home made nutritious food and treats that are just perfect for those in need of light refreshment while going about their days out around the local area.
The Bakery Section is also a must for those who want to just pop in and make a quick purchase.
Take Aways are also available, so you can easily avail yourself of some goodies to take for a picnic around the beautiful Duddon valley. You can even ring in advance and order something to take along on your walk.

Opening Days and Times
The Tea Room/Coffee Shop opens from 10.30am until 4.30pm on a Friday and from 1.00pm until 5.00pm on a Sunday serving soup, and a selection of warm and cold rolls, with plenty of home made cakes and scones to choose from, or why not go the whole hog and enjoy one of our delicious cream teas?We will also be open on a Saturday from 1.00pm until 5.00pm on Bank Holiday weekends and School Holidays.

Location
The Tea Room is located at the bottom of Birker Fell in Ulpha, close to Broughton in Furness, and right next to the Browfoot Community Hall. The building is better known to some as The Traveller's Rest and it's located conveniently for travellers in the Duddon Valley, and those on their way over Birker Fell to Eskdale and the Western Lakes beyond, will also find it a handy stop-off point.Click Here to view a map of where Ulpha is located.

The Bakery
If you have particularly enjoyed our food then, as mentioned previously, you will find a bakery section within the Tea Room and Coffee Shop at Ulpha, near Broughton in Furness where you can purchase from our selection of home made Jams, a multitude of assorted Cakes, Scones, Teabreads, Fudge and Truffles along with our famous Sticky Toffee Pudding.
Crafts
Alongside all of this, The Tea Shop is the home of the fun and comical Cumbrian Animal Print Cushions, there will always be a display of those around for you to see and purchase, alongside Country Themed Cards by Alex Clark.
The craft section has expanded to include gifts and items by other crafters, a range of hand made soaps and hand creams, all divinely scented providing nutrition for the skin, as well as hand made pot pourri, lavender bags, beautifully crafted scented hearts and more... which all make for thoughtful gifts. No gift is over £10 in price.
Katie Gaston's latest jewellery collection is also on display and unique to The Tea Shop.
