Location

The Tea Room is located at the bottom of Birker Fell in Ulpha, close to Broughton in Furness, and right next to the Browfoot Community Hall. The building is better known to some as The Traveller's Rest and it's located conveniently for travellers in the Duddon Valley, and those on their way over Birker Fell to Eskdale and the Western Lakes beyond, will also find it a handy stop-off point.

The Bakery

If you have particularly enjoyed our food you will be pleased to find a bakery section within the Tea Room and Coffee Shop at Ulpha, near Broughton in Furness where you can purchase from our selection of home made Jams, a multitude of assorted Cakes, Scones, Teabreads, Fudge and Truffles along with our famous Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Crafts

Alongside all of this, you will also find a display of the fun and comical Cumbrian Animal Print Cushions and Country Themed Cards which are also described for you in later pages of this website.

The craft section has also expanded to include gifts and items by other crafters, a range of hand made soap and hand creams, all divinely scented providing nutrition for the skin, as well as cookie mixes and gingerbread mixes, all carefully layered in jars which make fun and unique gifts and which can be baked and enjoyed in the comfort of your own home.

Katie Gaston's latest jewellery collection is also on display and unique to The Tea Shop.
